NABARD has approved ₹109.3 crore for 10 rural road projects in six districts of Himachal Pradesh under the RIDF XXX scheme. The decision was made during the 141st meeting of NABARD’s Project Internal Approval Committee.

Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said these projects will improve rural connectivity, make transportation easier, and help thousands of people across the state. He also mentioned that the government has been working hard to secure central funding for various development projects.

The approved projects include upgrades to important roads such as Junalla-Karloti-Chhat-Berthin Road, Tikkar Manoh via Jakhyol-Ramehra-Sulkhan-Dhirwin Road, and Rohru-Chirgaon-Dodrakawar Road. Other link roads connecting Pirsaluhi in Kangra to Kitpal in Hamirpur, Puyad to Tikkari via Dharli, and Thathar Tripal to Mehwa Panchayat have also been included.

Additionally, the project covers the construction of a road from Saheed Tej Singh Smarak Jatta-Ra-Nallah to Kukrigalu via Harijan Basti Saloun, Katloun, and Chhamyar.

One of the major projects includes the construction of a 35-metre span bridge to connect Nehwat, Nayaser, Ghaini, and Devidhar. Another key project involves building a road with culverts and proper metalling from Kanshiwala to Biroja Factory via Jable Ka Bag, Kanol Lag, and Batuni Morch.

These road projects will improve access to remote areas and support the rural economy by making it easier to transport agricultural goods, daily essentials, and passengers.

The minister has asked PWD officials to start work within a month after completing all necessary formalities. He also stressed the importance of maintaining high construction standards and ensuring the projects are completed on time.
