The TDP-led NDA government is set to roll out the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme on August 2, fulfilling one of its key Super Six promises to support farmers. The scheme, which seeks to benefit 46,85,838 farmers in the state, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at Veerayapalem in Prakasam district's Darsi mandal.
Under the first phase of the scheme, all eligible farmers will receive ₹5,000 credited directly into their bank accounts, with the State government providing ₹2,342.92 crore for rolling out the scheme. Added to the Centre's ₹2,000 support under the PM Kisan scheme, the farmers will receive ₹7,000 on August 2.
The coalition government in the state vows to pay ₹14,000 a year to every farmer in three tranches (₹5,000, ₹5,000, and ₹4,000), over and above the Centre's ₹6,000 under PM Kishan, for a cumulative assistance of ₹20,000 per beneficiary under Annadata Sukhibhava scheme.
The Chief Minister on Thursday presided over a review meeting at the Secretariat with Finance, Revenue, Water Resources, and Agriculture departments' senior officials, and District Collectors in video conference. He stated that it's an obligation, not an expenditure, to take care of the farmers and instructed officials that every eligible farmer should be benefited through the scheme.

Naidu directed Collectors to make sure there is no shortage of irrigation water or fertilisers, requesting them to keep an eye on reservoirs, and manage the water resources judiciously. He also underlined the necessity for taking preventive steps in the aftermath of 25 pc tariff on Indian farm exports by the US that would potentially affect the farmers. He demanded a festive environment in the launching of the scheme, with events held at village secretariats, panchayats, mandal centres and constituency offices.
For ensuring transparency, beneficiaries will be informed one day in advance through SMS by the government through the 'Manamitra'
