The investigation into the IndiaOne Air crash near Rourkela is moving toward its final stages, with a full report expected within the next month. The accident, which occurred on January 10 shortly after the nine-seater plane took off from Bhubaneswar, tragically claimed one passenger's life.

IndiaOne Air CEO Prem Kumar Garg confirmed that the airline is prioritising support for Biswal’s family. Beyond the standard insurance process, the company has committed to hiring one family member and covering all their household expenses for the next five months. While five other passengers and two pilots survived the crash, Biswal passed away on January 17 after a week-long struggle in a private hospital. Garg noted that while medical teams provided the best care possible, pre-existing health complications made Biswal’s recovery particularly difficult.

As for the wreckage, crews are expected to lift the downed aircraft from the Jalda A Block area within the next couple of days. From there, it will be transported to Bhubaneswar, where technical experts will dismantle and examine the components to figure out exactly what went wrong during those first 10 kilometres of the flight.

The CEO also expressed gratitude to the Odisha government and the Chief Minister’s office for their immediate assistance following the crash. For now, the focus remains on the technical recovery and ensuring the bereaved family is taken care of as the aviation industry waits for the final word on the cause of the disaster.
