A court complex in Panchkula received a bomb threat via email on Monday, prompting an immediate evacuation and largescale search operation, Haryana Police said.
A bomb disposal squad and sniffer dog teams, along with heavy police force, were rushed to the spot soon after the threat was reported.
A thorough search of the entire court complex is currently underway, officials added.
Last month, several schools in Ambala had received similar threat emails, though nothing suspicious was found during checks. Earlier, a bomb threat email was also sent to the Ambala Deputy Commissioner’s office.
In all these cases, no suspicious object was recovered, and officials later confirmed that the threats turned out to be hoaxes.
