Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu on Wednesday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Punjab on July 17. He shared the information while speaking to reporters in Jalandhar.
During the media interaction, Bittu also criticised the makers of the film Satluj and actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. He alleged that the film's makers were trying to disturb peace in Punjab. Bittu also said Diljit Dosanjh would not be allowed to create unrest in the state.
Continuing his attack, Bittu claimed that while Diljit asks Khalistani supporters to leave his concerts, he also promotes what Bittu described as a "terror narrative."
Referring to human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, Bittu said Khalra was taken into police custody after the assassination of his grandfather, former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh.
