Mathura police on Thursday denied the rumours of Vrindavan-based spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj’s deteriorating health. Police said that the seer is in good health and requested people not to spread any false or baseless rumours.
Unverified reports claiming that Premanand’s health had deteriorated severely had caused anxiety among his followers, said the police officials. Following this fake news, the devotees started to gather around his Vrindavan ashram, prompting the police to issue an official clarification to maintain law and order in the area.
“The saint is completely healthy, and people are advised not to believe or circulate any rumours. Strict action will be taken against anyone found spreading misinformation,” Mathura SSP posted on X.
It is said that the seer’s both kidneys have failed, and he is undergoing dialysis.
Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav recently met with the spiritual leader. The video of the same is also making rounds on the internet.
