Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was taken to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Sunday for a check-up after experiencing exhaustion.

Hospital authorities have confirmed that Mann’s condition is stable and he has been admitted for observation.

He was brought to Mohali from Sangrur, where he had been accompanied by AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal to pay his respects at the Shri Rankeshwar Mahadev Shiv Mandir for Mahashivratri.

A statement issued by Fortis Hospital described the visit as a routine medical evaluation.

"He underwent a comprehensive clinical assessment and standard diagnostic investigations. All vital parameters are stable and within normal limits. He is currently experiencing exhaustion and has been admitted for observation and supportive care. “His condition is stable, and he remains under the supervision of a multidisciplinary medical team."

After offering prayers at Sangrur, Mann, 52, was slated to travel to Fazilka with Kejriwal to pay condolences to the family of Sandeep Gilhotra, father-in-law of Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, who passed away on Friday. Moreover, the Chief Minister and Kejriwal were slated to attend a state-level event for the ongoing anti-drug drive in Moga on February 16.

This comes after Mann's September admission last year, where he was hospitalized for a week at Fortis Hospital after being diagnosed with exhaustion and low heart rates. Moreover, Mann was admitted to the same hospital for a few days after being diagnosed with a bacterial infection in 2024.
