Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann embarked on a 10-day tour of Japan on Monday. Accompanied by Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora, the chief minister will meet industrialists there and persuade them to invest in the state.
Arora and Mann will inform the Japanese industrialists about the recent initiatives taken by the state government to promote industry and the efforts made by it in providing ease of doing business.
The government will also invite them to an industrial summit expected to be held in March next year. For the past few weeks, government delegations from Punjab have been visiting industrialists in different parts of the country and organising roadshows to attract private industrial investment.
