Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Minister Sakeena Itoo on Thursday said those responsible for the NEET-UG paper leak must be held accountable and brought to justice for “playing with the future of the youth.” She emphasised that the investigation must be conducted in a fair and transparent manner to ensure that the culprits are punished.
Her comments came as the probe into the alleged paper leak incident intensified, with doctors’ forums and individual activists approaching the Supreme Court over repeated cases linked to the 2024 and 2026 NEET examinations.
Speaking on the controversy surrounding the 2026 paper leak, Itoo said the matter has triggered serious concerns among students and parents across the country. The minister added that students must not suffer due to the actions of a few individuals and said investigating agencies must ensure accountability at every level.
Her remarks come amid an ongoing probe into the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, in which multiple arrests have been made by agencies, particularly the CBI, across several states.
The fresh allegations have raised serious questions about the integrity of the National Testing Agency (NTA), forcing activists to file pleas over repeated paper leak incidents reportedly surfaced from Rajasthan.
