Security forces continue Operation Sheruwali in the dense forests of Rajouri.

The ongoing anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district has entered its 38th day, with security forces continuing to comb the dense forest areas of Dorimal, officials said on Monday.

Security forces remain actively engaged in the operation to track down the terrorists.

Search and surveillance operations are ongoing across the designated areas, supported by advanced equipment and coordinated ground operations.

Code-named Operation Sheruwali, the operation has now stretched to nearly five weeks in the Dorimal forests of the Gambhir Mughlan area. Joint teams of the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) and other security agencies remain deployed in the region.

The operation is focused on the dense forests of the Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan sector in Rajouri district.

Launched in late May following twin gunfights between militants and security forces, the agencies are battling difficult terrain to track down the hiding infiltrators.

A massive search operation is underway in the forest area, supported by coordinated human and technical surveillance, including K-9 squads of the Indian Army.

According to officials, all agencies involved in the operation are maintaining close coordination to achieve the mission's monitoring. Officials said the operation is still in progress, with security forces continuing to dominate the area through extensive searches and surveillance. Additional security measures remain in place to prevent any untoward incident.

The operation will continue in the forested areas until security forces fully sanitise the region and achieve the stated objectives.
