President Draupadi Murmu reached Ranchi on Friday evening on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. Governor Santosh Gangwar welcomed the President by giving a bouquet at Birsa Munda Airport.
The President will inaugurate the 70th Foundation Day celebrations of BIT Mesra on Saturday. Governor Santosh Gangwar and Birla Group Chairman CK Birla will also be present during this ceremony.
Tight security arrangements have been made for the President's arrival in Ranchi. Apart from 10 IPS officers, 1000 policemen have been deployed for his security.
Barricading has been done on both sides of the road from the airport to Raj Bhavan and from Raj Bhavan to BIT Mesra for the President's arrival. Also, drop gates have been made at many places.

Key security measures include:
- Deployment of security personnel at all strategic locations across the city.
- Surveillance at high-rise buildings and sensitive areas along the President’s route.
- Uninterrupted power supply to the event venue and accommodation sites.
- Fire safety, medical assistance, and communication setups reviewed for readiness.
- Strict monitoring of law enforcement presence at the airport, Raj Bhavan, and BIT Mesra.
Traffic DSP, inspector and policemen have been deployed on every road to manage the traffic. As the President's convoy moves forward, the traffic will be opened accordingly. Barricading has also been done at many places to stop the traffic.
Also, entry of big vehicles in the city has been banned from 8 am to 10 pm on February 14 and 15.
Directives have been issued for passengers going to Ranchi airport. On 15 February, passengers, whose flights are between 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM, are advised to reach the airport by 11:30 AM.
Also, Matriculation and Intermediate examination candidates, whose exam is on 15th February in the first shift, have been asked to reach the exam center by 09:30 am, whereas the second shift candidates have been asked to reach the exam center by 12:00 am.
