As many as six people were injured after their car skidded off the road and rolled down at Dubjan in the Heerpora area of Shopian district, officials said on Friday.
The accident took place in Heerpora when a Swift car bearing registration number JK11D-4114 skidded off the road while travelling from Shopian to Rajouri district.
According to first responders, the vehicle was being driven by Sunil Sharma, son of Ramesh Sharma. The car reportedly went out of control, skidded off the road and rolled down, resulting in injuries to the driver and five other passengers who were also travelling in the vehicle.
The injured have been identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar; Plavi Chandan, wife of Rajesh Kumar; Aarav Kumar, son of Rajesh Kumar; Prachi, daughter of Rajesh Kumar; and Dua Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar.
All the injured persons were shifted to the district hospital for treatment. Further details are awaited.
