The Jharkhand government will celebrate the first anniversary of the Hemant Soren administration on November 28 with a grand statewide event at Morhabadi Grounds in Ranchi.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Coordination Department, the Chief Minister will distribute appointment letters to successful candidates selected for positions including Assistant Teachers, Dental Doctors, Sericulture (Insect Keepers), and other posts.
This will mark one of the largest recruitment drives in the state, with the highest number of appointments being made in the education sector.
A total of 8,000 assistant teachers will be appointed across government primary and middle schools. These include successful candidates in mathematics and science, social science, and language for classes 6 to 8.
Palamu district will receive the highest number of appointments, with 779 teachers getting their joining letters. These include 396 teachers for Classes 1 to 5, 81 language teachers, 37 mathematics and science teachers, and 265 social science teachers.

The event also carries symbolic significance, as Chief Minister Hemant Soren had taken oath for his third term on November 28, 2024, at the same Morhabadi Grounds in a grand ceremony. Government departments, including Energy, Home, and Drinking Water, have been instructed to ensure robust arrangements for security, power, and water supply during the anniversary celebrations.
The Ranchi district administration has been directed to begin special preparations for the event. Departments associated with JPSC and JSSC recruitments have also been asked to immediately complete formalities for issuing appointment letters to selected candidates.
