A search operation was launched in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Thursday after security forces received information about suspicious movement in the area, officials said.
The operation was launched after locals reported some suspected persons entering a house in Kirchi village of Latti-Dudu area and fleeing with cash.
The forces are on high alert and have urged people to share any details about suspicious movements in their areas.

Terrorists have been active for the past several months in Dudu-Basantgarh area, prompting the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps, Lt Gen PK Mishra, to review the ongoing anti-militancy operations in areas of Udhampur, Doda, and Kishtwar districts in September.
Lt Gen Mishra was accompanied by GOC, Counterinsurgency Force (Delta), Maj Gen A P S Bal and the Corps commander flew by helicopter to Deoj Dhar to review the operations.
