Three young men were shot dead following a dispute at a gym in the Khurja Nagar area of Bulandshahr district, police said. The incident occurred late Saturday night and reportedly stemmed from an argument during a birthday gathering among acquaintances.
The deceased have been identified as Amardeep (30), Manish (28), and Akash (18), officials confirmed.
According to preliminary findings, a quarrel broke out among a group of youth at the gym, which quickly escalated into violence. Gunshots were fired during the altercation, resulting in the deaths of the three individuals.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Meerut Range, Kalanidhi Naithani, said police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“According to complaints and initial accounts, a dispute had taken place among some youths at a gym. Police teams are on the ground and conducting checks in the surrounding areas,” he stated.
Police have formed six teams to track down those involved. So far, two accused have been arrested, while a manhunt is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects. Police have not yet disclosed the identities of those taken into custody.
Officials added that several other individuals have been detained for questioning, and strict action has been ordered against all those found involved in the incident.
