Following the breakout, North Tripura superintendent of police, Avinash Kumar Rai, along with senior officers, launched a large-scale search operation to trace the fugitives.

Tripura Police spokesperson, Rajdeep Deb, stated that all district police stations have been alerted and exit points across the state sealed to prevent the prisoners from crossing borders.

Authorities have assured that extensive efforts are underway to track down the escapees and maintain the safety of nearby communities.

Meanwhile, the injured guard has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
