Announcing the board examination results on Thursday, the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education reported that 90.42 per cent of students passed the Class 10 exams, while 80.38 per cent cleared Class 12. Girls secured all top three ranks in both examinations.
In the high school (Class 10) results, Kashish Verma from Sitapur and Anshika Verma from Barabanki jointly topped with 97.83 per cent. Aditi from Barabanki claimed the second position with 97.5 per cent. The third position was shared by Arpita from Sitapur, Rishabh Sahu from Jhansi, and Pari Verma from Barabanki, each scoring 97.33 per cent, Director of Secondary Education Mahendra Dev said.

In the Intermediate (Class 12) exams, Shiksha Verma from Sitapur secured the top rank with 97.6 per cent. Nandini Gupta from Bareilly and Shriya Verma from Barabanki shared second place with 97.2 per cent. Surbhi Yadav from Bareilly and Pooja Pal from Barabanki jointly held the third position with 97 per cent, Dev added.
He further noted that 87.30 per cent of boys and 93.76 per cent of girls passed the Class 10 exams. In Class 12, 75.04 per cent of boys cleared the exam, compared to 86.32 per cent of girls, continuing the trend of better performance by female students.
