Security forces Monday recovered arms and ammunition along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The army said two AK series rifles, ammunition, and war-like stores were unearthed during a search operation at Badi Mohalla in Amrui of Kupwara district.
The search operation was launched by the army along with Jammu and Kashmir police following a specific input.
“On 10 Feb 2025, based on specific intelligence inputs, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy and @JmuKmrPolice at Badi Mohalla, Amrui, Kupwara.
During the search, 2xAK series rifles, ammunition, and other war-like stores have been recovered,” the Army’s Chinar Corps said in a post on X. The Army said the operation is in progress.
To intensify the anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir, the General Officer Commanding of Jammu-based White Knight Corps, Lt. Gen. Navin Sachdeva, on Monday reviewed the “hostile activities” along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Army said.

The visit comes two days after an army patrol party was fired upon by suspected militants hiding in a forest area across the LoC in the Keri sector.
“The GOC White Knight Corps, along with the GOC Ace of Spades and GOC Crossed Swords divisions, visited forward areas of the Rajouri sector for an operational update on the prevailing security situation and the hostile activities,” the Army said in a post on X.
The post said that the corps commander complimented all ranks for their vigilance and relentless operational focus.
He also urged them to remain prepared for all contingencies, the Army said.
