A woman was found murdered in a public toilet at the Rose Garden in Chandigarh on Saturday afternoon.
The identity of the woman and the motive behind the killing are yet to be confirmed. She is said to be around 30 years old. The victim was found with a severe neck injury, possibly caused by stabbing with a sharp-edged weapon. The body has been sent to Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector 16 for post-mortem examination.
Police officials said they were exploring the murder from all possible angles, including robbery, assault and personal enmity. They said the CCTV footage from in and around the garden is being retrieved to trace the suspect’s movements.
