Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday said the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal water project will be completed soon to benefit 13 districts of western MP and 15 districts in Rajasthan, opening the doors of prosperity in both states. Madhya Pradesh is the "mayaka" (maternal home) of rivers and blessed with water resources, so it should always cooperate and share with all, he said.
Yadav was speaking in a mass wedding ceremony of Sri Krishan Yaduvanshi Ahir Samaj, organised in Rinchi village in Kota district. The MP CM, who attended the ceremony with Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota MP Om Birla, said the relationship between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan was that of brothers who were committed to mutual cooperation and sharing each others' resources.
Yadav and Birla blessed the newly-wed couples and wished them a happy and prosperous life.
Addressing the gathering, Birla admired the role of the Sri Krishan Yaduvanshi Ahir Samaj in the armed forces of the nation.
He also appreciated the community for organising the mass wedding ceremony, asserting that they have led to social transformation the past 38 years.
Rajasthan ministers Madan Dilawar and Heeralal Nagar and MLA Balak Nath were also present at the wedding ceremony.
