Gates of Badrinath shut for winter

Badrinath is one of the 108 divya desams of Lord Vishnu and is part of the Panch Badri temples. The temple is about 50 feet tall with a gold-covered cupola. It has three main sections: the Garbha Griha, the Darshan Mandap and the Sabha Mandap.
