Parl sends PM, CMs removal bills to JPC for review

The BJP-led NDA government has referred to a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) three contentious bills that propose new laws for the removal of the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and ministers in states and Union Territories if they are arrested for more than 30 days on charges carrying a minimum jail term of five years.
