The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Friday approved the opening of 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas and 28 Navodaya Vidyalayas. The total funds required for the new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are estimated at ₹5,872.08 crore over a period of eight years from 2025-26.
