Kolkata Metro to go driverless after clearing safety trial

The trial run was carried out on the Green Line after metro services were delayed on Sunday, beginning at 4.30 pm instead of the usual 9.00 am. A special train rake travelled from Howrah Maidan to Sector V without manual operation, though a driver and senior metro officials remained inside the cabin as a safety measure during the inspection.
