Mizoram’s first state-run university to be set up in Aizawl

The Mizoram Assembly has passed a bill establishing the state’s first government-run university. The Mizoram State University Bill, 2025, aligns with NEP 2020 and seeks to create a teaching-intensive institution to address the higher education needs of students and ensure college affiliations beyond 2035.
