Assam govt suspends subsidised ration supply for 2 months

The Assam government has suspended distribution of subsidised pulses, sugar and salt under the PDS for two months from June due to a vote-on-account budget, the Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department said, while assuring that free rice distribution under welfare schemes will continue uninterrupted.
