Campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections enters its final stretch, with parties preparing to make their last appeals to voters before canvassing ends on Tuesday evening. With only a day left, the contest between the NDA and the Grand Alliance has intensified, drawing in national leaders and high-profile campaigners across the state.

The final push comes as attention simultaneously shifts to constituencies voting in the second phase, prompting a parallel wave of rallies, roadshows and online outreach. Parties are relying not only on traditional political mobilisation but also on social media platforms to expand voter engagement.

Senior figures of both alliances have been criss-crossing Bihar in a hectic campaign schedule. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two public meetings and held a roadshow in Patna on Sunday. He is expected to address rallies in Saharsa and Katihar today. Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also speak at public meetings in Sheohar, Sitamarhi and Madhubani.

On the Grand Alliance side, Congress General Secretary and MP Priyanka Gandhi will campaign in Saharsa in support of the alliance’s candidates. Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Mahagathbandhan Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has lined up 15 public meetings across Buxar, Bhojpur, Saran, Patna and Nalanda districts.

Star campaigners of AIMIM, the Jan Shakti Janata Dal and the Jan Suraj Party are also scheduled to hold rallies and a roadshow as coalition and smaller-party efforts intersect in a crowded political landscape.

With only hours remaining before the first phase enters the silent period, political messaging has reached its peak, as parties strive to consolidate undecided voters and reinforce their support bases in a closely fought electoral battle.
