At least six people have been killed, while 11 more have been injured in what Israeli authorities call a terror attack on Monday, officials said. The attackers have been shot dead by the Israeli soldiers during a face-off with an off-duty soldier, said Defence Minister Ben Gvir.
Israeli health authorities, while confirming the attack, said, “11 people are being treated for their injuries, six of whom are in critical condition, while five people have lost their lives.” So far, no group or organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack, while the security ministry is being questioned by the people who wanted to know how the attackers got there.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the terror attack, the Israeli Supreme Court on Monday cancelled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial.
Later, Netanyahu, along with his defence minister, arrived at the shooting spot and assessed the situation on the ground while praising the security forces for killing the assailants.

Meanwhile, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for the dismantlement of the “Palestinian Authority” and said it must disappear from the map, and the villages from which the terrorists came should look like Rafah and Beit Hanoun.

Netanyahu said, “A war against terror is taking place on all fronts,” the premier says in an address to Israeli media at the site of the attack, offering his condolences to the families of the five murdered victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the additional 11 injured.
“The fighting continues in the Gaza Strip,” Netanyahu continues, saying Israel “will destroy Hamas as we promised and free our hostages.” Meanwhile, the attacks occurred at a time when the international community intensified its efforts to recognise the Palestinian state at the upcoming UNGA, while Israel is also facing immense pressure on the domestic front.
