On May 23, Vedant lashed out via X by calling himself "completely destroyed" because he had paid for copies of his documents, only to have the writing of someone else look back at him on his answer sheet.

It seems that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now been caught in an embarrassing position due to major mistakes in their Class 12 examination results. CBSE has officially stated that it is going to correct the marks of two candidates, after a social media uproar revealed that there was complete chaos during the process of marking these exams. The situation got out of hand after Vedant found out that the Physics answer sheet displayed on his portal actually belonged to someone else.

On May 23, Vedant lashed out via X by calling himself "completely destroyed" because he had paid for copies of his documents, only to have the writing of someone else look back at him on his answer sheet. As the post gained traction and public anger mounted, CBSE scrambled to control the fallout. To make matters worse for the board, a second student came forward with an identical issue involving a Chemistry paper, which CBSE has also had to accept as genuine. The double whammy has put intense scrutiny on the board's new digital script-monitoring software.

In an anxious bid to rectify the mistake, CBSE’s Joint Secretary of Coordination emailed Vedant directly, attaching his actual Physics script and promising that his final marks would be updated as a matter of urgency. Meanwhile, the student dealing with the Chemistry paper mix-up also updated followers online, thanking the internet community for making enough noise to force the board to act.

The student had already posted clear photographic evidence of the bureaucratic bungle, making it impossible for the board to deny the error.

In the wake of the scandal, sources within CBSE reveal that a specific task force has been set up simply to police social media for similar grading nightmares. The entire fiasco has left parents and teachers deeply cynical about the board's automated re-checking systems, with many wondering how many other mismatched papers have slipped through the cracks unnoticed.
