The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 are set to begin on 15 February, with more than 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools in India and overseas scheduled to appear.

On the inaugural day, Class 10 candidates will undertake the English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature) papers, while Class 12 students will sit for the Entrepreneurship examination.

The assessments will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at 7,842 centres across the country and at 26 locations abroad.

Schedule for the CBSE board exams.

To uphold the sanctity of the examinations, CBSE has instituted stringent regulations. Regular students must be attired in their school uniforms, while private candidates have been advised to wear light-coloured clothing.

Candidates are required to reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes in advance and meticulously peruse the instructions on the question paper before commencing their answers.

A list of prohibited items has been issued by the board, barring the entry of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches, cameras, unauthorised study materials, wallets, handbags, goggles, and pouches into the examination hall.

The consumption of food and beverages within the premises is restricted, except for diabetic students who have obtained prior approval.

Admit cards have been made available through the Pariksha Sangam Portal. Regular students must carry both their admit cards and school identity cards, while private candidates are required to produce a government-issued photo identification.

To facilitate the seamless conduct of the examinations, CBSE hosted a live webcast at 2:30 PM on Friday on its official YouTube channel, providing guidelines on examination and evaluation procedures for centre superintendents and other officials.

The Class 10 board examinations will continue until 18 March, whereas the Class 12 assessments will conclude on 4 April.

The board has incorporated adequate intervals between major subjects this year to ease the burden on candidates.

With a surge in student movement on examination days, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has introduced special measures to facilitate smooth transit.

Students will receive priority during security checks and ticketing procedures at metro stations, with additional personnel deployed to assist them during peak hours.

As lakhs of students prepare to undertake these crucial examinations, authorities have assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and secure examination process.
