RJD chief Lalu Prasad along with Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.

A Delhi court on Tuesday issued summons to former Union Rail Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with the alleged land-for-jobs scam. The court also summoned his son, former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav, and his daughter Hema Yadav.

Special Judge Vishal Gogne further issued fresh summons to Prasad's younger son and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi Yadav. The accused have been directed to appear before the court on March 11.

The case pertains to alleged irregularities in Group D appointments made in the West Central Zone of Indian Railways, headquartered in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The appointments were reportedly made between 2004 and 2009, during Lalu Prasad's tenure as Union Rail Minister.

According to officials, several individuals were appointed to railway jobs in exchange for land parcels, which were either gifted or transferred to Lalu Prasad’s family members or close associates.
