The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially published the timetable for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) Mains 2026. Aspiring engineers who have cleared the initial hurdles can now access the full schedule via the commission’s website at upsc.gov.in.
According to the latest announcement, the Mains examination is set to take place on June 21, 2026. There will be two sessions for the examination during the day. The first session is between 9:00 AM and 12:00 Noon, while the other session will take place between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
The Stage II test consists of two papers in the traditional format on different fields of engineering. Each paper will carry a weightage of 300 marks and will be held for a duration of three hours.
Success in this stage is critical for those hoping to move forward. Only candidates who meet the commission's discretionary qualifying marks in both the Preliminary (Stage-I) and Mains (Stage-II) exams will receive an invitation for the Stage-III Personality Test.
