The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will win more than 50 seats in the Delhi elections, according to party leader Gopal Rai, who based this on reports from the party's candidates.
In a meeting with AAP candidates ahead of the vote counting on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal, the party’s national convenor, stated that AAP will form the next government in Delhi. He also accused the opposition of using exit polls to put psychological pressure on voters and carry out "Operation Lotus."
"Under Kejriwal's leadership, the candidates shared their reports, which show that AAP is set to win over 50 seats with a close race in 7-8 constituencies," Rai told reporters after the meeting.
He added, "The opposition is trying to spread the idea that they will form the government through exit polls, but this is just their frustration over losing."
The AAP candidate from Babarpur also claimed that opposition parties had been offering money and ministerial positions to AAP candidates in exchange for switching sides.

“They are trying to use exit polls to create pressure and carry out Operation Lotus. But I want to make it clear... BJP’s Operation Lotus will not succeed," Rai said.
Rai emphasised that AAP is focused on ensuring a fair counting process. "Our candidates are ready. The people have chosen AAP to form the government, and we will make sure their choice is respected," he said. Kejriwal had told all candidates to prepare for the counting process with full commitment.
Manish Sisodia, another AAP leader, criticised the BJP for using money and intimidation instead of democratic methods. "This 'Gali-Galauj Party' has always used shameful tactics in elections. After Saturday, their game will be over," he said.
Polling took place across 13,766 stations in all 70 Delhi constituencies on Wednesday, with results to be announced on Saturday.
