To accelerate industrial growth in Haryana, a large-scale Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) is set to be developed near Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, spanning approximately 3,000 acres.
The project, estimated to cost around ₹4,680 crore, will be undertaken jointly by the Haryana government and the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC). This initiative was discussed in detail during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, which was also attended by Haryana Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel.
Officials informed the chief minister that the Central government, in collaboration with various state governments, is working to establish integrated industrial corridors with a focus on multi-modal connectivity to boost manufacturing and promote planned urban development.
As part of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor, industrial townships are planned in six cities across seven states, with the proposed IMC in Hisar being the largest among them. The project will be implemented in two phases and is expected to attract investments to the tune of ₹32,000 crore while generating employment opportunities for over 10,000 people.
The IMC will feature modern and essential infrastructure, including internal roads, a water treatment facility, and a solid waste management plant. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NICDC and the Haryana government is set to be signed soon to formalise the execution of this ambitious project.
Chief Minister Saini expressed confidence that the IMC’s strategic location near Maharaja Agrasen Airport would make it an attractive destination for both domestic and international investors.

Of the 7,200 acres demarcated in the Hisar region, around 4,212 acres are occupied by the airport itself, while the remaining 2,988 acres will be dedicated to the industrial cluster. The proximity to the airport is expected to provide a significant logistical advantage to the industries setting up operations there.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently flagged off the first commercial flight from Maharaja Agrasen Airport to Ayodhya and also laid the foundation stone for a new terminal building at the airport.
In addition to this, under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor being developed by NICDC, an Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub is also planned on approximately 886 acres in Nangal Chaudhary, Haryana.

These developments place Haryana in a strategically advantageous position, with two major industrial corridors poised to drive large-scale investment and employment across the state.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasised that the growth of the industrial sector is essential to fulfilling the vision of a 'Viksit Haryana' under the broader 'Viksit Bharat' mission.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to establishing 10 industrial model townships (IMTs) across Haryana and directed officials to expedite necessary procedures to advance these developmental goals.
